During daily use, UV printers may inevitably encounter some problems and malfunctions. Here are some problems that are easy to encounter in the industry, and solutions to help eliminate them.
1, UV printer ink breakage
Fault phenomenon: During the printing process of patterns, some nozzles do not produce ink;
Cause analysis: clogged nozzle channels, improper setting of nozzle working voltage, clogged ink cartridges, ink problems, and improper negative pressure adjustment can all lead to ink breakage;
Solution: Press ink, rinse the nozzle with cleaning solution, adjust the working voltage of the nozzle, soak and replace the nozzle with high-quality ink for ultrasonic cleaning, and adjust the appropriate negative pressure value.

2, Poor pattern printing effect on UV printers
Fault phenomenon: Blurred image, incorrect color coverage, and ghosting;
Cause analysis: Improper height of the car, excessive distance between the nozzle and the material, resulting in inaccurate inkjet landing points, strong airflow affecting the accuracy of inkjet landing points, poor ink absorption ability of the material, and lack of calibration of the nozzle;
Solution: Reduce the height of the car, prevent fans or air conditioning from blowing directly into the work area, avoid strong airflow in the workplace, change materials, and recalibrate the nozzle.
3, The UV printer does not rebound when the car is reset during startup
Fault phenomenon: After turning on the machine and clicking the reset button, the car only leans slightly to the right without resetting or flashing, making it impossible to perform other operations;
Cause analysis: switch failure, car board failure, SCSI line failure, PCI card failure, servo board failure;
Solution: Replace the switch, board/SSCI cable/PCI card/servo board.

4, UV printer garbled code
Fault phenomenon: Irregular and irregular spray on the screen;
Cause analysis: inkjet data transmission and processing errors, car board failure, loose or faulty data cables, fiber optic failure, PCI card failure, and image processing issues;
Solution: Arrange the nozzles to test each individual nozzle one by one, troubleshoot the nozzle, replace the data cable (nozzle data cable or car board data cable), replace the car board/fiber/PCI card, and reload the screen for processing.
5, Abnormal ink output in the fixed area of the UV printer
Cause analysis: screen processing issues, grating bar issues, and car board malfunctions;
Inspection method: Change the image, change the spray position, and test the spray painting effect of different images at different positions. If other images are normal, it indicates that there is a problem with the processing of that sub image; If all the images have ink problems at that location, check the grating strip. If the ink spraying at a certain position is still abnormal, check the car board;
Solution: Reload the screen for RIP processing, clean or replace the grating strip, and replace the car board.

6, UV printer cart runs unevenly on both sides
Fault phenomenon: Some parts of the sprayed image are clear and some are blurry, and the accuracy of inkjet positioning in each section is inconsistent;
Cause analysis: The guide rail beam has not been adjusted horizontally;
Solution: Readjust the crossbeam.
7, The UV printer car shakes during operation and the spray painting is misaligned
Cause analysis: Damaged grating strip, broken belt, and debris stuck in the drag chain;
Solution: Clean or replace the grating strip, replace the 465 belt, and clean the drag chain slot.
8, Print images with horizontal stripes
Cause 1 of malfunction: Poor condition of the nozzle;
Solution: If the nozzle is blocked or sprayed diagonally, simply clean the nozzle.
Cause 2 of malfunction: No adjustment of the step value;
Solution: In the printing software settings, turn on the maintenance flag in the machine settings and perform step correction.

9, Large color deviation
Cause 1: Image format error;
Solution: Set the image mode to CMYK mode and change the image to TIFF;
Cause 2 of malfunction: nozzle blockage;
Solution: Print a test strip and clean the nozzle if it is blocked;
Cause 3 of the malfunction: incorrect software settings;
Solution: Reset the software parameters according to the standards.
10, Image edges blurred and ink flying
Cause 1 of the malfunction: low image pixels;
Solution: For images with a DPI of 300 or higher, especially when printing 4PT small fonts, it is necessary to increase the DPI to 1200;
Cause 2 of malfunction: The distance between the nozzle and the printed object is too far;
Solution: Keep the printed material close to the printing nozzle and maintain a distance of about 2 millimeters;
Casue 3 for malfunction: There is static electricity in the material or machine;
Solution: Connect the machine casing to the ground wire and apply alcohol on the surface of the material to eliminate static electricity. Use an electrostatic processor to eliminate surface static electricity.
11, Printing images with small ink dots floating around
Cause 1 of the malfunction: ink deposition or ink breakage;
Solution: Check the status of the nozzle, check if the ink flow has deteriorated, and check if the ink path is leaking air;
Cause 2 of malfunction: The material or machine has static electricity;
Solution: The machine casing is grounded, and the material surface is wiped with alcohol to eliminate static electricity.

12, Print landscape with ghosting
Cause 1 of malfunction: The grating strip is dirty;
Solution: Clean the grating strip;
Cause 2 of malfunction: Damaged grating device;
Solution: Replace the grating with a new one;
Cause 3: Poor contact or malfunction of the square head fiber optic cable;
Solution: Replace the square head fiber optic cable.
13, Printing Dripping or Broken Ink
Dripping ink malfunction: During the printing process, a certain nozzle drips ink;
Solution: a. Check if the negative pressure is too low; b. Check if there is any air leakage in the ink circuit;
Ink breakage fault: During the printing process, a certain color often breaks ink;
Solution: a. Check if the negative pressure is too high; b, Check if the ink path is leaking air;; c, Is the nozzle not cleaned for a long time? If so, clean the nozzle.

14, UV printer collision
Fault phenomenon: The startup car collides with the right end;
Cause analysis: positioning fault, grating head fault, and car board fault;
Solution: Check/replace the switch, replace the grating head, and replace the car board.
15, UV printer negative pressure air pump produces loud noise
Cause analysis: Loose air pump, clogged filter, air pump malfunction;
Solution: Tighten the air pump and replace the filter/air pump.
16, The UV flatbed printer's car board light does not light up and cannot be reset when turned on
Cause analysis: loose wiring, car board failure, servo board failure, data cable failure;
Solution: Re plug the data cable, replace the car board/servo board/data cable.
