A few days ago,one of UV ink manufacturer, Japan's Toyo Ink manufacturers announced that their inkjet printing inks and related products will increase prices from May 1st.
The company said the price adjustment is against the backdrop of a severe imbalance in global supply and demand due to the recent reduction in the supply of chemical products due to China's ongoing tightening of environmental and safety regulations as well as energy regulations, while key raw materials for inkjet inks such as pigments, Resins, solvents and inks, have become more expensive due to disruptions in international logistics. In this context, the prices of monomers, polymers, initiators and additives continue to rise.
Another factor is that prices for logistics, hydropower and secondary materials are also continuing to rise and show no signs of abating.
The company said that the price adjustment products are UV ink and inkjet ink related products (such as cleaning flush, anchor coating ), and the price adjustment range is 200-400 yen per kilogram.
